Last Friday night, I went to Tune in Tokyo’s cosplay event for the Battle Royale (バトル・ロウイアル) screening at Cinefamily’s The Silent Theatre, sponsored by FEARnet.

Although I’ve seen the movie battle royale before, it was nice seeing in again for the first time on the big screen. In fact I’ve never seen a high quality version of battle royale before! This was the first time ever that battle royale had been shown in a theatre in the USA. Kinda exciting!

I dressed up with my boyfriend and a few other friends to the event. It was fun making the accessories for the cosplay outfit. I was able to create a collar that had a led light inside that blinks! I think I discovered the best way to make the collar too, let me know if your interested. The movie ticket cost $10, but if you cosplayed, it only cost $5! I really enjoyed this event, especially the free Guinness beer that was provided. Everyone was very friendly too.

At the end, there was a cosplay costume contest. Ebuhree won the contests of course, her cosplay was amazing! There were a lot of other people who cosplayed, enough to make a class! It was a fun night 🙂
