A booming new trend this winter is Faux Fur. Whether it be faux fur jackets, hats, or vests, you don’t want to miss out on this seasons biggest fashion trend.
If you want to get in on this faux fur trend, or simply try it out without too much commitment, I recommend getting a faux fur collar! What’s really awesome about a faux fur collar is that you can wear it infinite ways. Wear it alone as a shawl or scarf, or pair it with different jackets. You can easily dress it up or dress it down, but still look like a trendy mother trucker!

Here are some photos of the faux fur collar that I received in the mail. I originally chose this item in hopes that I would be able to use it at my wedding reception dinner since it is themed 1930’s Shanghai. But it wasn’t as full or as long as I would have hoped for. However, this is something I already expected prior to ordering. Regardless of my expectations for this faux fur collar, it still is quite a beautiful collar in itself.
If you take a closer look at the fur, it’s actually quite soft. Also, it doesn’t shed at all! So you don’t have to worry about having loose hairs on any of your black clothing. The colors of this faux fur are light brown & grey, while the tips fade to either black or a warmer medium brown color. The overall tone is on the cooler side, as I didn’t want a collar that looked too warm in fear that it would match my hair color too well.
This is where the product makes up for the length. Though I had intended to use this faux fur to be used as a shawl (but couldn’t because of it’s length), you can use it has a scarf or collar instead. Looking at the backside of the faux fur, it has two elastic straps that allow you to secure the ends of the fur as you please. You can either cross right over left, or vice versa depending on how you want to wear it. This is quite useful if you want to bundle up a coat and use this fur to look like your coat has a fur collar.
The faux fur collar can be worn many ways. Below is how I wore it most recently. I really like how it looks with my leather jacket! It really makes me feel like I have a new one.
If you don’t want to wear the collar with a jacket, you can always wear it alone as a scarf. This is a super easy way to dress up any outfit.
