Lakers vs. Celtics Game at the LA Staples Center

On Wednesday night, I had the opportunity to go to my first NBA game. It was at the Staples Center in downtown Los Angeles for the LA Lakers vs. Boston Celtics.

Before meeting up with my group, I got a chance to snap a photo infront of the Staples Center. Too bad I don’t have any Lakers fan attire on, so I just wore a purple shirt (and it’s not even the right color purple).

Since it was my first time, I decided that I wanted to get seats in a box suite. We stayed in Suite B 40. It didn’t have the most optimum view of the court, but it still wasn’t a bad view at all. The suite sits up to 12 guests and has stadium style seating, a counter top with high chairs, sofa, TV, and full service for food and drinks. You also get to enter through the VIP entrance.

I didn’t really know what to expect in a suite.. I actually thought it would be closed off to the rest of the stadium, but instead, it was also open air. There was no glass in front of us, or even to the sides of us!! We could actually see through the glasses into all of the other suites to the left and right of us. Wow what a sight.

At our suite, we ordered room service for nachos (chili, cheese, jalapeño, and sour cream), water, and three six-packs of beer. Wow, the bill came out to be more than $300 just for all of that! Lol, what a rip!

Erick and I infront of the court before the game started. Don’t we look like we are photoshopped into the photo??

The game started off with an introduction to each of the players on each team and then everyone begins warming up.

They played a tribute video to Jerry Buss who sadly passed away not too long before the game on February 13, 2013. He was the majority owner of the Lakers team. May his soul rest in peace.

After the tribute video and a moment of silence in remembrance of him, they suddenly dropped a giant cloth and started playing videos. It was an amazing way to display videos on screen at more than life size.

Once the videos were done, the entire cloth fell from top to bottom. Woooshhh~

Next we had a young high schooler sing the national anthem. It was funny because she messed up in the middle of the song and said something like “OMG” because apparently she was facing the wrong direction the whole time (away from the American flag), lol.

Oh yea, and how about them Lakers Girls?

My boyfriend, old college roommate, and another college friend from my sorority. Lol, they are the only other two friends who were crazy enough to spend the amount that we did for our seats. Thanks for joining us!

It’s so fun watching a basketball game live. All the tacky music that they play and how everyone gets so into the game~ it’s great!

Group photo! Can you tell that I dyed and cut my hair myself? It’s a lot more ashier now and I dyed the WHOLE thing. I’ll do a post on it later since I dyed it myself.

Lakers were owning up the court this game.

This game wasn’t as fun as it could have been for me. Don’t get me wrong, watching a live game is the BOMB. But I love it when the game is a close call. The Lakers totally beat the Celtics by a lot.

Since the Lakers won the game, we got a coupon for 2 free tacos at Jack in the Box! Woohoo~! Lol, scoreeee, even though 2 tacos is only 99 cents ^^;;

To complete my post, here are some photos of me after the game! *peace* *look at my nails and me trying to be cute*

*selfie photo* and lol.. I tried to take a photo of myself pretending to smoke, but I don’t smoke.. so I had to draw one in.

Anyways thats all for now! This is going to be a very very busy week for me because I have a crap ton of freelancing gigs to get done. Hope to write again soon.

xoxo Sarah
