So not many people know this actually. This is *TOP SECRET* information. If you are reading this blog post, consider yourself to be one of the special ones who know, hehe. I’m only posting this big news on my blog because I use my blog as a sort of personal diary, and I’m pretty sure that people I know IRL don’t really read my blog.
I don’t really want to share this news with people I plan to invite to my wedding ceremony since I want them to still be excited for our marriage. But if they do find out, I guess I don’t care too much. So here we go, let’s have a look at my court wedding ceremony.
This is my hair that I did for the court wedding. As you can see, it is quite messy. I tried to follow some pinterest hair tutorials. I should have practiced earlier, but of course I didn’t. So I tried following the tutorial the morning of my ceremony and had so much trouble. In addition I had no one to help me!! I did all of this in the car on the way to the court, so as you can see it is quite messy. But as my *husband’s* (eekk sounds weird to say, huh) mom’s boyfriend says: it fits my personality. Lol, whatever that means.
My make up is quite simple. I love gyaru make up, but I didn’t wanna do something too crazy to the point where I would look back when I’m older and think, what the fc*k was I thinking?! So I went with something more simple. A clean looking face with minimal contouring if any, blush, brown eyeshadow, black eyeliner, filled in my eyebrows a little darker than normal, more natural eyelashes, brown circle lens, and a sheer pink lipstick.
As for my accessories, I wore my mom’s jewelry. Crazy blinged out gold necklace and bracelet, and a navy blue Hermes bracelet that I wore on my upper arm.
Here’s how my entire outfit looked as a whole. If you are wondering…
- Something new: white dress by Rampage
- Something old: wedge heels
- Something borrowed: mom’s necklace and bracelet
- Something blue: Hermes bracelet
Do you think we make a good looking couple? Haha, maybe if I am still blogging 50 years from now, we can do a comparison of what we look like then.
This is Erick’s cousin’s wife, which makes her my… sister now?! Well, at the time she was his fiance, but they just got married in court recently as well! Congrats to the both of them!
Erick’s mom’s boyfriend with my dad. Haha, I just had to include this photo. My dad is so old now, so he has shrunk a lot in size. He was trying to sit up tall and I thought it was just too cute.
One last photo right before we go in for our court ceremony! Say “cheese” and remember our last moment as individuals.
Inside of the court wedding chapel, we found a fake boutonniere and bouquet. Our celebrant was a super nice and helpful woman. I couldn’t be happier to have anyone else but her. The court wedding experience in Beverly Hills was the best!
Here we are, the newly weds, with our parents on both sides of us.
And here is my wedding band that I chose to go with my engagement ring. Did you know that the wedding band has to go on the finger first?
What a fun and memorable event. Hehehe, I love my white dress. Got it from Macy’s and stacked on a ton of coupons and ended up getting this dress for less than $40.
Okay, let’s look at some sappy photos of us together after the ceremony.
This one is one of my favorites, so fun~
Here’s everyone (all family) who got to join us on our special day together. Thanks for coming out!
Since we got married on July 11th (aka 7-11), we stopped by 7 Eleven afterwards for some free slushy, and scratchers.
And this concludes my very personal diary post. I hope you enjoyed a glimpse into my court ceremony. But don’t worry, I’ll keep you guys updated with my actual wedding ceremony. You are invited to view it through my blog!! No plans yet for when the wedding date is, but I do have a dress already!
Thanks for reading!
