Dirty Looks is a hair extensions company that provides only the highest quality clip in hair extensions. All of the extensions are made with 100% Remy Human Hair, and is the best in the industry.
The hair extensions were kindly sponsored to me by Dirty Looks, however all opinions in this review are my own. Thanks so much for the opportunity to review!
I got this package the week before my wedding day and didn’t get a chance to do a thorough review until now. When I first found the package in the mail, I was amused by the beautiful silver wrapping. Personally, I’ve never seen this before and I thought it was a fancy touch.
Inside of the shipping package was a lavender colored box with the company’s logo boldly printed on the cover.
The box contained a plastic zip-lock bag for the hair extensions, pamphlet with detailed instructions, post card, hand written note from the company, and of course the receipt.
Let’s now take a closer look at the nifty zip-lock enclosure for the hair extensions. Dirty Looks really went above and beyond my expectations in their product packaging design.
The zip-lock bag has two separate compartments:
- Contains full head set hair extensions
- Has one piece from the full head set hair extensions
When you first receive your hair extensions, you are advised to open the second compartment containing only the one piece from your ordered set. This allows you to look at the shade and length without opening the whole set.
Dirty Looks accepts returns as long as the seal for the larger compartment containing the full set is not broken. Also, the test extension should be kept in brand new condition — so no heat tools or styling products.
The HK Full Head Hair Extensions comes with 10 wefts, and you can choose between 21 shades and 4 lengths. Prices vary depending on the length that you choose, but start at $149.99.
The photos for each of their shades is very good quality, so it shouldn’t be too difficult to find a close match. If you find that you are having trouble, you can send an email with some photos of your hair and have their hair technicians help you choose a shade.

Each weft comes with clips already sewed on. However, Dirty Looks does provide extra clips in case you need to replace any (how nice!).
All of the wefts come numbered so that you can easily follow their instructions diagram and match each weft to the correct position.
Can’t really get much more simple than that!
The shade that I choose was Tanned Blonde Medium Blonde. If I compare the color of the hair that I received in the mail with the shade on Dirty Look’s website, I would say that it’s pretty spot on. My photos depicting the shades are much less accurate.
Below, you can see a comparison of the shade against my hair color (lol, I just realized that’s not my natural hair color, but you know what I meant). As you can see, the hair colors are quite similar except for the fact that mine is more orange. I chose the Tanned Blonde Medium Blonde shade because of it’s ashiness. My goal was to try to tone down my hair color by mixing the two together.
As for the length, I went with 20-22″. My current hair length ends about 2″ above my belly button. The 20-22″ extensions didn’t really lengthen my hair, but it did make it a lot fuller at the ends.
In my YouTube video below, you can watch me put on the hair extensions for the first time. In the video, I have a total of 8 wefts in my hair.
If you don’t want to watch the video, you can check out my before and after photos. These photos aren’t as drastic as the footage in the video because I’m only wearing 5 wefts. Having the additional 3 in the video made a huge difference. I advise you to check it out if you are seriously interested in transforming your hair through hair extensions!
The ends of my hair in the above photo is a lot more fuller. It’s so nice to feel like I have more hair (really it’s a dream come true for a girl who has had super fine hair her whole life).
You can’t really tell as much in the before and after photo from the back side. I probably should have took it from a side angle instead, but trust me there’s a lot more hair in there!

Thank you so much! That really makes me very happy to hear as I do put a lot of time into my blog posts 😀
I haven’t used hair extensions in ages. I thought about them the other week actually but only went as far as looking some up on ebay! LOL! I have some blonde ones somewhere in my cupboard but I’m a brunette again so they’re no use to me.

i know what you mean!! i keep changing my hair color (and length) so i can see how these hair extensions can easily become sort of useless. and it sucks that they are so pricey for the nice ones! though, im sure the ebay ones are still decent 🙂
