Kose Cosmagic Visual Up Brow Review

Sorry I haven’t been able to do a post lately. I’ve been busy moving out of my apartment and back into my parents home to try to save some money since I quit my job.

But here I am again, trying to get my life back into motion with another blog post.

Not sure if you remember, but a little while back I posted a review on the Dolly Wink Eyebrow Powder. I felt like it wasn’t light enough for gyaru eyebrows, and many of you had responded with different eyebrow mascaras that I could try.

I ended up going with the Kose Cosmagic Visual Up Brow (Light Brown). I bought this on Ebay for about ~$13 shipped.

Here’s the front and the back of the package that it came in.

Inside, it came with a cardboard comb that was plated with reflective foil. There are two combs that pop out of the piece.

It’s actually quite useless, as I already have an eyebrow comb thats made out of plastic, which is much more effective. This comb’s bristles are too big to use for my eyebrow hairs and I feel ridiculous using a cardboard comb.

Ahhh, but now onto the brow mascara~ 

I think the packaging is very nice and practical. It also really sort of has that gyaru look to it, doesn’t it?

The product works like a typical mascara, but instead of having your formula in a traditional container, it’s held in a tube! I like this a lot more because you can really get the product out if needed.

The bristles of the eyebrow mascara wand are decently firm. Perfect for shaping your brows.

Taking a closer look at the mascara wand, you can see that there are different sides to help you coat different parts of your eyebrow.

1. Angled part of the brush, good for the ends of your eyebrow or any detailed area
2. Longer bristles are good for the part of your eyebrow that is fuller or has longer hairs
3. The shorter bristles are good for the part of your eyebrow that has shorter or less hairs

Now lets do some test!!! 

TEST #1 – Cosmagic Visual Up Brow ONLY

This is my brow with no makeup whatsoever. All I did was maybe a little tweezing, trimming, and shaving.

 

Here’s what my brows look like if I use the Cosmagic Visual Up Brow mascara without anything else. Looks pretty good huh?

You can sorta see that the mascara formula is a little bit sparkly. But overall it looks like my hairs are naturally brown!

Now starting over… Let do another test…

TEST #2 – Dolly Wink Eyebrow Powder + Cosmagic Visual Up Brow

If you haven’t seen my other review on the Dolly Wink Eyebrow Powder, you can see lots of photos here. But generally, this is how the eyebrows look with only the powder and nothing else (pictured below).

Now, when I combine the Dolly Wink Eyebrow Powder with the Cosmagic Visual Up Brow, my eyebrows are starting to look pretty good!

I am pretty satisfied with this combo. I think the next step for me is to now buy a super light brown eyebrow pencil and see how the trio works together.

• If I have my full makeup on, I use these two products for my eyebrows
• If I have more natural everyday makeup, I usually just use the Dolly Wink Eyebrow Powder to fill in my eyebrows to make them look more full

Overall, I feel like this product brought me a step closer to achieving a better gyaru style, and I give it a perfect five stars (★★★★★)!!!
